Purpose of Position: This position serves as a technical resource for the evaluation, repair, and service disposition of electro-mechanical systems. Responsible for returned assets throughout the product service lifecycle, this position ensures configuration integrity, documentation accuracy, and compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards. Working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and customer-facing teams, the position executes structured troubleshooting and repair activities that support operational readiness and consistent service performance.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, including customer information and configuration, product serial numbers, and repair/replacement actions taken.
- Assess repair viability and service disposition, recommending cost-effective service strategies in alignment with customer and company policies.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring products are restored to their original working conditions.
- Conduct thorough inspections and advanced diagnostic tests on returned electro-mechanical products to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Accurately document and track electro-mechanical products, material transactions, and technical communications through the MRO Enterprise system.
- Partner with customer-facing teams to gather technical details, identify failure trends, and support data-driven service decisions.
- Partner with Engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Provide technical support to internal production and assembly personnel, addressing queries related to product issues, internal processes and rework strategies.
- Execute final inspection protocols, functionality testing, and release validation to ensure repaired units meet engineering and customer requirements prior to shipment. Preserve programmatic hardware configurations.

Education and Experience Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience assembling complex electro-mechanical products in a production environment or equivalent education or work experience.
- Proficient in analyzing electrical system schematics to diagnose hardware faults.
- Experience in PCBA rework to IPC standards, documenting all rework in accordance with quality procedures, preferred.
- Experience working in a dynamic work environment and independent prioritization.
- Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, preferred.
Physical Demands of Position:
- Physically able to lift up to 30 pounds (materials/equipment)
- Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
