Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting will lead the corporate accounting function, monthly close process, global consolidations, and process improvement activities. This position reports to the Corporate Controller and partners closely with SEC Reporting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and external auditors to ensure complete, accurate, and timely accounting operations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
- Manage global consolidations, intercompany activities, elimination entries, and foreign currency translation processes.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses.
- Oversee routine corporate accounting areas including accruals, reserves, equity transactions, lease accounting, and other complex accounting matters.
- Partner with the SEC Reporting team in preparing 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and supporting disclosure schedules.
- Coordinate external audit and quarterly review activities and serve as a secondary liaison with external auditors.
- Support SOX 404 compliance, control documentation, testing activities, and remediation efforts.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness.
- Support M&A, capital market transactions, system implementations, and other strategic business initiatives.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Position Requirement:
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including public and corporate accounting experience.
- CPA license required.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Experience managing accounting close processes, consolidations, and external audits.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing accounting professionals.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Big Four or national public accounting firm experience preferred.
- Experience with Workiva, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, NetSuite, Hyperion, or similar platforms preferred.
- Experience supporting SOX implementation or finance transformation initiatives preferred.
- Experience with multinational operations and foreign currency accounting preferred.
Educations/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license.
