Job Overview
This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments. Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties. This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.

Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory science or technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
- 1 - 2 years' experience clinical in a related field (Preferred)
- ASCP Certification (Required)
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Strong laboratory knowledge with the ability to apply technical expertise to daily operations and problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of shifting priorities based on changing business needs
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting team goals and operational success
