Quality Resident Engineer / Automotive Liaison

TRIGO is hiring for Quality Resident Engineer / Automotive Liaison positions part-time for Trigo at the GM plant in Fort Wayne, IN
Your role is key to our success, so the following objectives should be accomplished to the highest feasible standards.
The main objective of this role is to avoid formal customer claims from the customer through preventive and corrective actions.
Other Objectives
- Build strong relationships with customers at the plant.
- Represent TRIGO professionally and build customer trust.
- Keep communication open between the customer and OEM.
- Suggest ways to improve quality and processes.
- Quickly identify and solve problems before they become bigger issues.
- Keep plants informed about problems and corrective actions.
- Update customers on claim status and progress.
- Attend customer meetings as needed.
- Stay up to date on quality and technical topics.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the customer team.
- Support new builds, product launches, testing, and engineering changes.
- Coordinate sorting and repair work when approved by the customer.
- Understand automotive quality standards, including TS 16949.
- Report to the TRIGO Country Resident Manager and assigned customer contacts
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Process and process control knowledge
- Identify and implement Standardized Work
- Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action reporting
- Process and Product audits experience
- Shipping and Receiving knowledge
- Strong personality, able to give direction and lead teams
- Sequencing of automotive parts (preferred)
- Tier 1 experience (preferred)
