Overview:
TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Auditor to perform supplier audits on a contract basis throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for a semi-retired professional or someone looking for part-time, flexible work. The ideal candidate comes from a manufacturing environment, holds Global Exemplar Lead Auditor certification, and has a strong background in IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 auditing, particularly with raw material suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct process and system audits of suppliers in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
Prepare audit plans and communicate them in advance to the supplier
Perform audits on-site, identify non-conformities, and document findings
Provide clear feedback and recommendations for corrective actions
Communicate results with both TRIGO and the customer as needed
Required Qualifications:
Lead Auditor certification to ISO 9001 through Global Exemplar (formerly IRCA)
Extensive audit experience in manufacturing environments (not just service or office-based)
Solid understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA 6.3 standards
Experience auditing raw material suppliers
Strong communication and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and on short notice
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Previous experience as a Quality Manager or Lead Auditor in a Tier 1 or OEM manufacturing setting
Willingness to travel as required for customer sites
