TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a Resident Engineer/ Quality Liaison in the Metro Detroit area.
Overall Purpose
TRIGO offers comprehensive Resident Engineering and Quality Liaison services by using its quality know-how, automotive background and global infrastructure. The Resident Engineer/Quality Liaison is a technical professional responsible for representing TRIGO's interests within the supply chain, particularly in matters related to quality assurance, containment, and rework activities. This role may support multiple customer or supplier sites and serves as the primary communication link between quality, logistics, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities
Client relationship & Business development
- Identify and propose business opportunities linked to her/his missions and report them to TRIGO Management
- Support the customer in technical and quality issues
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Build customer credibility through commitments fulfilled
- Suggest improvements related to process or product quality
- Actively participate in the customer meetings
- Seek continuous feedback, formal and informal, of customer satisfaction degree about our product and service
- Interact with all cross-functional teams (quality, logistics, production and engineering teams) in understanding quality concerns, data collection, measurement analysis and root cause identification
- Build a tight and solid professional relationship with the customer
Operations
- Proactive channeling of information and perform analysis to solve issues
- Provide continuous feedback to the customer about the status and evolution of existing incidents as soon as possible
- "Audit" regularly how the intervention site handles the represented products
- Keep him/herself trained and updated on technical and quality related specifics and business topics through regular meetings
- Conduct and supervise repair and/or sorting activities on site
Organization & Management
- Analyze problems, in case of alerts or incidents, collect information and inform affected production plants to take appropriate corrective actions
- Understand, adhere to and practice safety guidelines in the production environment
- Work according to TRIGO's service description, processes and templates
- Work precisely, effectively and meet deadlines
- Adhere to TRIGO's values

- Execute the defined activities of the project:
- Proactive coordination and management of compliance of the actions defined in the agreed Work Instructions
- Control compliance of the practices for handling and assembly of the products with agreed documents and/or processes and/or specifications
- Intervention within agreed reactivity following the quality incidents
- Implement and manage the agreed upon appropriate corrective actions when required (with the purpose of minimizing the financial and quality indicators impacts)
- Follow up and present the irreversible corrective actions implemented by the customer, as well as its verification to close an incident, to the assembly plant, in compliance with the customer agreed upon processes and provide inputs
- Perform analysis to facilitate incident root cause determination
- Support in order to contribute to continuous improvement policies
- Support and follow up start of production (SOP) and running technical changes
- Ensure client satisfaction (contracted client and intervention site as well)
- Establish reporting and communication based on process and documents defined
Technical
- Involvement in customer requirements concerning technical changes, technical support of the customer
- Problem solve and eliminate quality issues before they escalate into problems is key to be successful
