EMS Director - EMS - Ambulance Service
JOB SUMMARY: Trigg County Hospital – a Critical Access Hospital – is seeking an experienced and motivated EMS Director to lead our Emergency Medical Services Department. This role oversees daily EMS operations, ensures high-quality prehospital care, and provides strong leadership for our team serving the community.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage all EMS operations, staffing, scheduling, and deployment of ambulance services. Ensure compliance with KBEAMS, CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, and all regulatory standards. Oversee EMS quality improvement, clinical protocols, training, and continuing education. Manage department budge, equipment, fleet maintenance, supplies, and purchasing. Recruit, train, evaluate, and support EMS personnel; foster a positive team culture. Maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership, ED staff, and community agencies. Participate in emergence preparedness planning, drills, and response efforts. Represent the department at hospital committees and community EMS activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Current Kentucky Paramedic license required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS (additional instructor or trauma certifications preferred). Minimum 3 years EMS experience, with experience in leadership or supervisory roles. Experience in rural EMS or Critical Access Hospital preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
