Job Summary
We are seeking reliable part-time forklift operators / warehouse associates to be part of an on-call team supporting freight operations. This role is ideal for individuals with warehouse and freight-handling experience who can assist with preparing shipments, organizing freight, and ensuring trailers are loaded properly.
Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Duties
- Open and secure the warehouse at the start and end of shifts
- Verify freight orders and ensure accuracy before shipment
- Repackage freight when necessary to ensure safe transportation
- Consolidate freight orders for efficient loading and delivery
Freight Handling
- Palletize freight safely and efficiently
- Floor load freight when required
- Operate forklifts to move and stage freight
- Load trailers in the correct sequence to match delivery routes
Driver Support
- Ensure drivers receive correct paperwork before departure
- Confirm freight is loaded properly and securely
- Assist with staging freight for incoming and outgoing shipments
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Experience palletizing freight
- Experience floor loading freight
- Experience repackaging or consolidating freight orders
- Ability to lift and move freight as required
- Strong attention to detail and organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving box trucks
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Experience in freight, logistics, or trucking operations
