Direct Hire Opportunities – CNC Lathe & Milling Department
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift (CNC Lathe Operator/Set-Up) – 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- 2nd Shift (CNC Lathe Operator) – 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday
(includes 2nd shift differential)
Pay Range: $27.00 – $34.00 per hour Full Benefits Package (Paid Weekly)
We are seeking talented, hard-working, and committed individuals to join our Precision CNC Manufacturing team within a Tier 1 leader in the manufacturing and supply of flight critical Aerospace/Defense fasteners, components and assemblies.
CNC Lathe Operator / Set-Up Tech Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Nakamura Multi-Axis (Twin Turret, Twin Spindle) and 2-Axis Slant Bed Lathes.
- Produce high-end fasteners, small machined components, and flight safety parts using materials like Inconel, stainless steel, and alloy steels.
- Install and indicate lathe tooling, drills, and inserts appropriate for each material type.
- Read blueprints, operation sheets, and CNC programs; understand part operations fully.
- Make necessary machine adjustments, including offset changes, and conduct program edits when needed.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Maintain tools, coolant, chip bins, and general machine condition.
- Complete travelers, data entry, and job documentation accurately.
- Assist and mentor fellow CNC operators to promote a team-oriented culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Ensure parts meet strict quality standards for aerospace-grade production.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience operating CNC lathes (multi-axis preferred).
- Proficiency reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools (micrometer, caliper).
- Experience with Hardinge (CHNC & Cobra) and Nakamura lathes is highly desirable but not required.
- Familiarity with FANUC and Mitsubishi controls a plus.
- Manual machining and/or thread rolling experience a strong plus.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods (8 hours).
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality.
