Job Summary
The Campus Advanced Security Operator (ASO) Team Member is responsible for enhancing safety and security while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence for client employees and authorized visitors across assigned corporate campuses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and secure environment for assigned client campuses
- Protect the life, safety, and physical security of assigned personnel, facilities, and assets
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized or disruptive activity
- Monitor campus activity and identify unusual or suspicious behavior
- Respond appropriately and professionally to on-site incidents or emergencies
- Work independently while delivering exceptional customer service
- Establish and maintain a professional and approachable demeanor with employees and visitors
- Conduct periodic foot patrols throughout assigned campus areas
- Communicate effectively with campus leadership and security management regarding incidents or concerns
- Report all security-related incidents to the ASO Team Leader
- Coordinate with campus operations under the direction of the ASO Team Leader
- Remain alert to surroundings and proactively identify and report security concerns
- Assist with escorts for employees or visitors as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of four (4) years of honorable military service or equivalent law enforcement or professional security experience
Required Licenses and Certifications
- Valid State Security Guard Card [BSIS] (must be maintained)
- Valid State driver's license (must be maintained)
- Peace Officer Standards Training (POST) certification preferred
- Honorable military discharge (DD-214 required, if applicable) — Special Operations, Programs, Selection, or Experience is preferred

Working Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to move quickly and travel distances exceeding two (2) miles on foot
- Ability to work across varying campus environments and terrain
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required
- Ability to operate company or client vehicles between campus sites
- Ability to stand and remain on duty for a minimum of eight (8) hours
Reporting Structure and Classification
This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role reporting to the ASO Team Leader and Operations Manager in support of campus operations throughout the Culver City (LA) area.
Compensation
- Starting pay: $48.00 per hour
- Overtime in accordance with California State law
Commute Requirement
Candidates must reside within a 60-minute commute (based on typical weekday traffic conditions) of the intersection of National Blvd. and Washington Blvd. in Culver City, CA, for a standard Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Team members are expected to arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of each shift to support a timely operational handoff and readiness.
