Position Overview

We are hiring Part-Time Armed Mobile Patrol Officers to conduct overnight security patrols at multiple client properties throughout Colorado Springs.

Officers will perform scheduled and randomized patrol checks, identify security and safety concerns, respond to calls for service, and complete detailed digital reports.

This is an active, field-based position requiring independent decision-making, strong situational awareness, and the ability to manage multiple patrol assignments efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and random mobile patrols at assigned properties.
• Perform foot patrols and interior/exterior security inspections.
• Inspect doors, gates, common areas, parking lots, and other designated locations.
• Identify and document suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, safety hazards, and property deficiencies.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and dispatch requests.
• Complete accurate digital patrol and incident reports.
• Maintain a professional, visible security presence.
• Follow established post orders and client-specific procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and emergency services.
• Maintain assigned equipment and patrol vehicle readiness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Active Colorado Springs security guard license, or ability to obtain one before assignment.
• Must meet applicable armed security licensing and firearms qualification requirements.
• Ability to consistently work weekend overnight shifts.
• Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations.
• Professional appearance, reliable attendance, and sound judgment.
• Ability to pass applicable background checks and drug screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk, stand, drive, and conduct patrols for extended periods.

Required Duty Equipment:

• Duty belt and approved retention holster.
• Authorized duty firearm and ammunition.
• Handcuffs and flashlight.
• OC spray and other company-approved duty equipment, as required.

Preferred Experience

• Prior military, law enforcement, or private security experience.
• Previous mobile patrol or armed security experience.
• Familiarity with digital reporting systems and dispatch communications.
• Experience with access control, incident response, and property inspections.
• Strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
