Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver goods to various locations following designated routes
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Assist with warehouse organization, including moving inventory, stacking pallets, and maintaining cleanliness
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly and professionally with clients
- Verify delivery accuracy, obtain signatures when required, and document all delivery activities accurately
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during route driving to ensure safe transportation at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving knowledge
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license or driver certification is a plus
- Experience operating box trucks, manual transmission vehicles, forklifts, and pallet jacks preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor safely and efficiently during load & unload tasks
- Warehouse experience including moving inventory, using forklifts or pallet jacks, is highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment with attention to safety standards
