Job Summary And Qualifications
As a General/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist you will perform diagnostic general and non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures. Job Summary And Qualifications
As a General/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist you will perform diagnostic general and non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures. What you will do in this role:
- Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedure
- Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual
- Assist, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and or devices needed
- Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary supplies
- Associate degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Eligible for ARDMS registration; RVT preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience preferred, preferably in an acute-care setting
