Trident is looking for a Accounts Payable specialist to join our accounting team. Trident recently moved into a brand new state of the art manufacturing facility and is at an exciting inflection point in our growth. As a contract manufacturer of medical devices, we work with a wide range of customers from startups to large medical device OEMs with over $1B in sales. By combining our expertise in medical device manufacturing with our automotive heritage and mindset of continuous improvement, we are uniquely positioned to help our customers drive out cost and manufacturing risk prior to design freeze.
As part of the accounting team, you would be responsible for the accounts payable records, including preparing entries, posting, editing, checking, and tracking payments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHERS DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):
· Responsible for accurate entering of invoices
· Serve as purchasing liaison between departments in our company and our vendors
· Perform weekly check runs and maintain paid bills files
· Assist with month-end close process
· Verify quantities, pricing, extensions, and code and process invoice batches.
· Maintain pricing for all purchased items.
· Type POs for all items requiring purchase orders and submit to vendors at approved pricing.
· Type quotes as needed.
· Handle all vendor contracts and get sign-offs when/as needed from management.
· Prepare 1099's at year end.
· Assist with sending W-9's on an as-needed basis.
· Receive all inventory items into the system and verify certifications are received as needed.
· Ensure all vendors have proper certifications on file.
· Monthly GL Account Reconciliations
· Complete various AP reports for management
· Complete Month-End closing responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & EDUCATION:
· Three (3) to five (5) years working in an office in an accounting administrative role
· Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
· Highly motivated and able to take initiative
· Excellent MS Office skills
· Work independently, self-motivated with agility and ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous priorities and projects.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to transfer knowledge into, and across, the organizations.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
· Can do Attitude
