Software Research Engineer(C++)

Position: Software Research Engineer – C

Location: Warren, MI (Onsite)

Rate: $50/hr on W2

Contract(W2)

Seeking candidates with a strong foundation in C development and algorithm optimization, preferably supported by advanced academic research (MS/PhD). Candidates with exposure to wireless communications, telecom systems, O-RAN, or 5G technologies will be highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• MS or PhD (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience in C software development.
• Experience in algorithm design, development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and system-level programming.
• Experience working in research-oriented or advanced technology development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 5G wireless communication systems.
• Knowledge of Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) architecture and deployments.
• Experience with Private 5G Networks, wireless networking, or telecommunications systems.
• Familiarity with radio resource management, network optimization, or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software components using C for next-generation networking solutions.
• Develop and enhance algorithms to improve system performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of O-RAN-compatible networking infrastructure for private 5G deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional research and engineering teams to implement and evaluate innovative networking solutions.
• Support integration, testing, and performance analysis of networking applications and optimization frameworks.
• Participate in the development of proof-of-concept solutions and research initiatives related to wireless communication technologies.
