Payment Analyst

Trident Consulting is seeking a "Technical Specialist / Scientist 3 " for one of our clients. A global leader in business and technology services.

Location: Irwindale, CA 91702: (Hybrid – In-office Wednesday & Thursday)

Job Type: Contract W2

Hourly Rate: $16/hr. - 48/hr. on w2

Duration: 12 months

Position Overview

The Technical Specialist/Scientist 3 will play a key role in managing customer enrollment and payment operations for Flexible Pricing Rate Pilot. This position involves validating and processing customer enrollments, coordinating with internal teams and third-party suppliers, and overseeing reporting, tracking, and manual payment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and validate enrollment forms from account managers.
• Submit eligible customers to third-party suppliers for enrollment and confirm status updates.
• Oversee manual enrollment processes for Automation Service Providers.
• Maintain detailed enrollment metrics (e.g., total customers, MW enrolled, benefiters vs. non-benefiters).
• Track billing and payment status across enrolled accounts.
• Manage manual customer payments and facilitate payments to contractors and third parties.
• Generate and maintain reports to support program tracking and decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and improve business processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years in business analysis or a related role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, or similar analytical tools.
• Ability to perform payment processing and reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail for validating enrollment and billing data.
• Experience with manual data entry and process tracking.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication (written & verbal).
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle high-volume tasks.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to coordinate across multiple teams.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with customer programs and billing in a utility or regulated environment.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Experience using advanced tools such as SAS, Power BI, or equivalent analytics platforms.
• Proficiency with pivot tables, charts, graphs, and handling large datasets (hundreds of thousands of accounts).
• Experience managing or tracking budgets.
• Ability to identify data trends and provide insight-driven recommendations.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, ethics, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
