Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST
Pay Rate: $29/hr on W2 (Higher rate may be considered based on experience)
Overtime: Available as needed
Job Overview
EMD Electronics is seeking experienced Gas & Chemical Technicians to support gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems across multiple semiconductor fabrication facilities in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. This role requires strong technical expertise in wafer fabrication support, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead technical operations for gas, chemical, and slurry delivery equipment.
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures, maintenance standards, and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and decommission gas and chemical distribution systems.
- Perform cylinder and drum changes on gas and chemical systems.
- Provide technical support and problem resolution for over 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment across 11 facilities.
- Develop, edit, and execute operating and maintenance procedures.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and quality management initiatives.
- Participate in project execution, sustaining operations, and safety programs.
- Train and mentor technicians while promoting a zero safety and quality incident culture.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of gas or chemical applications within semiconductor wafer fabrication environments.
- Experience with emergency response procedures and equipment operations.
- Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience with:
- EMD Electronics Gas Systems
- Applied Energy Systems (AES)
- Fuji Liquid Delivery Systems
- Air Liquide Gas & Chemical Systems
- Experience supporting gas, chemical, and slurry distribution equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
