Trident Consulting is seeking a "Mainframe Developer" for one of our client. A global leader in business and technology services.

Job Title: Mainframe Developer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract(only W2)

Pay Rate: $60/hr

Mandatory skills: COBOL, DB2, MQ, CICS

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Experience

· Strong experience in Mainframe technologies, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and MQ for application development.

· Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and a strong understanding of related business workflows and operations.

· Solid understanding of code migration and release management processes, including package creation, code promotion across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments, along with post-deployment validation and backout procedures.

· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and production support issues.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and offshore development teams.

· Experience working in Agile development environments and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Develop and implement technical solutions for Healthcare Claims application by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.

· Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe claims applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ following established coding standards and best practices.

· Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure successful project execution.

· Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members, coordinate onsite-offshore activities, and act as a key contact for technical issue resolution.

· Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, conduct code reviews, and support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
