Security Operations Center Manager

Summary

Our client is seeking a Security Operations Center Manager who will report to the CISO and play a key role in shaping the future of Security Operations. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise security systems with a focus on maturing programs aligned with frameworks including NIST. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure threat monitoring, detection, triage, and escalation procedures operate 24x7.
• Direct development and enforcement of security controls for networks, Cloud, and applications.
• Collaborate with Security Leadership to identify gaps and adapt Operations to address new threats.
• Promote security practices across IT Operations and Development teams through proactive communication.
• Produce and present operational metrics and reports to Senior Leadership.
• Responsible for the performance of direct reports including security engineers and analysts covering incident response, vulnerability management, application security, and network security operations.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field with 5 years of progressive Information Security experience including a leadership role.
• Professional certification (e.g., CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
• Experience leading a security operations center or similar security team.
• Knowledge of security architecture and market-leading tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, firewalls, vulnerability scanners).
• Familiarity with Cloud security and DevSecOps practices.
  
  

Preferred

• Additional security certifications (e.g., CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker).
• Experience with NIST 800 frameworks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Slack, and Jira.
