QC Specialist in Food / Beverage Industry

Yakult USA, the world’s leading probiotic drink manufacturer located in Fountain Valley, CA, is hiring a QC Temp Specialist for 3 months.Location: Fountain Valley, CADuration: about 3-month Temporary positionWork Hours: 5 days/week, Monday – Saturday (Sunday and another day off during weekday), 1st shift: 7:00am - 4:00pmPay: $30.00/hrRequirements of the QC Temp Specialist:Must have 10 years or more QC experience in Food / Beverage industry.Must have product quality inspection, microbiological testing, process checks and HACCP activities. Experience with aseptic procedures including bacteriological, physical and chemical testing.Familiar with food safety standards such as HACCP and SQF. HACCP or ISO certifications preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExceptional organizational skills, an eye for details and the ability to multi-taskAbility to take direction and the desire to contribute to the overall teamResponsibilities of the QC Temp Specialist:Overseeing lab analysis with respect to physical and chemical parametersPreparing Quality Control reports on a daily and monthly basisUpdating Production Manager and Factory Manager daily with Quality Control results and reportsFormatting and verifying all Quality Control records following Yakult standardsResponsible for all of the Quality Control equipment and supplies including inventory and maintenanceCoordinating with outside lab for sample checkingPreparing Standard Operating Procedure manual for Quality Control departmentConducting hygiene training for employeesConducting HACCP awareness program for all factory employeesAssisting with the setup of the general factory systemMaintain a safe work environment by practicing company policies, standard food safety (HACCP)/OSHA guidelines.Other job duties as assigned  Company DescriptionFor over twenty years, TriCom Quest has been a leader in the employment consultant industry, providing staffing services for both employers and job seekers, at virtually every level - from entry to executive.
