Position Summary:
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of company products utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment. Reaches out to community partners to build recycling business base or other production opportunities. Attends community meetings to maintain TRICO’s position as a community recycling partner collaborating with other agencies and seeks grants or other funding streams to assist with maintaining and growth of daily recycling operation.
Essential Duties of the Job:
1. Directs and coordinates production, processing, distribution, and marketing activities of the recycling operation to include other production contracts meeting agency requirements.
2. Point of contact with buyers of finished product to set up shipping, and/or other contractual production needs.
3. Reaches out to community partners to maintain and build recycling business base or other production opportunities.
4. Attends community meetings to maintain TRICO’s position as a community recycling partner collaborating with other agencies.
5. Seeks grants or other funding streams to assist with maintenance and growth of daily recycling operation.
6. Reviews processing schedules, production orders, and work procedures to collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer or their designee to determine staffing requirements, and duty assignments for efficient operation.
7. Reviews plans and confers with staff to develop new products and processes or the quality of existing products meeting consumer requirements.
8. Advises Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of expected expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources for recycling and other production contracts.
9. Examines samples of raw products processing to ensure finished products conform to prescribed quality standards of customer.
10. Prepares and maintains billing production reports and meeting agency and customer requirements.
11. Coordinates and recommends procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification.
12. Reviews operations and confers with administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems meeting customer needs.
13. Analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports to detect production problems and corrects based on customer needs.
14. Ensures safety standards to meet MIOSHA requirements and inform Chief Operating Officer of maintenance and safety needs.
15. Works in cooperation with Staff to instruct and train all Program Participants and employees in machine operation, assembly, and safety requirements to promote a safe and efficient production environment.
16. Meets CARF and Department of Labor standards in the assigned production areas.
17. Substitutes for transportation of Program Participants and materials pick-up Drivers.
18. Follows agency policies.

Qualification Requirements:
Minimum requirements –
Associate's Degree and/or two years prior production and/or paper product recycling related experience.
Strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and basic computer skills.
Valid driver’s license and Annual Motor Vehicle Record check.
Required back ground check.
Forklift, Bobcat, or other small equipment experience preferred.
Preferred ability to operate a box truck < 26,000 lbs. and pass a DOT physical every 2 years.
Knowledgeable in the fundamentals of MIOSHA General Industry Standards helpful.
Knowledge of developmental, mental health, or physical disabilities helpful.
Accountability:
Reports directly to Chief Operating Officer or Executive Director.

- Part-time hours (approximately 25 hours per week), Monday-Friday, no holidays
