Hourly Wage: $54.15 - $57.00
Trico proudly partners with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1116, ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and strong collaboration for all employees. Hours worked beyond the standard schedule will be compensated at 1.75 times the regular hourly rate.
Relocation Assistance: Relocation expenses are available up to $12,500 to support qualified candidates in joining our team.

The Journeyman Lineman plays a critical role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground high-voltage power lines. This position works in varied environments—including poles, bucket trucks, vaults, trenches, and energized proximity—while operating and working around heavy equipment. You’ll collaborate across departments and assist other team members as directed, performing work within the scope of your qualifications and in strict alignment with safety standards. This position will maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution lines and related equipment, climb poles and perform hot-sticking operations; set poles and install/replace pole-mounted equipment. String and sag wire to precise specifications; handle oil-filled equipment safely and accurately and pull, lay, and terminate underground cable; install pad-mounted equipment.
What You Bring to Trico:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and possession of a Journeyman Lineman certification/card.
- Demonstrated experience performing journeyman-level line work (overhead and underground).
- Working knowledge of NESC, OSHA, and utility safety practices.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as operational needs require.
- Must possess a valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and maintain compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and standards.
- Work effectively with diverse crews and departments.
- Perform work that prioritizes reliability, safety, and Member service.
- Proactively identify issues and drive resolutions to meet operational goals.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and work irregular and/or overtime hours as needed.
