We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect - Networking/Collab. The ideal candidate will live in Iowa, Nebraska, or Minnesota as there will be occasional travel to our Data Centers in those states to meet with clients.
The Solutions Architect serves as a key technical advisor and product advocate throughout the sales cycle, partnering closely with the field sales team to drive technology evaluations and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include articulating product and technology positioning to both technical and business audiences, identifying and resolving technical issues for assigned accounts, and building strong customer relationships. The position supports revenue goals by providing presales technical assistance, including detailed network and application design, engineering recommendations, and consulting on collaboration and infrastructure solutions. It also contributes to proposal development, presentations, and customer education, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and helping clients become more informed technology consumers.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Sales Support & Strategy: Leads technical aspects of the sales process, including discovery meetings, presentations, proposals, and on-site demonstrations, while helping shape sales strategy based on customer needs.
- Solution Engineering: Designs and engineers tailored solutions, collaborates with internal teams, and ensures proper documentation and handoff to service delivery.
- Post-Sales Engagement: Supports customers post-sale through network planning, training, and ongoing updates on services and pricing.
- Technical Expertise & Development: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and vendor offerings to provide informed recommendations.
- Training & Enablement: Delivers technical sales training to account teams and represents the company at trade shows and industry events.
What you bring to the team:
- Cisco and voice experience required
- 6 Years hands-on IT experience with infrastructure and networking architecture
- 2 Years Experience interfacing with customers and providing technical solutions.
- Network and Collaboration Engineering Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with routing/switching, wireless, and collaboration technologies (voice, video, contact center), especially Cisco products like CUCM, Contact Center Express, and WebEx Calling.
- Cloud and Hosted UC Technologies: Familiarity with hosted/cloud UC platforms such as Webex Calling, Microsoft Teams, and understanding of network-based systems including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
- Networking Protocols and Design: Proficient in TCP/IP, IPv6, dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and RF design best practices for wireless networking.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 Years Professional Experience in Information Technology, or related field.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- CCNP or CCDP, preferred.
