Job Summary And Qualifications
- Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
- Performs all ultrasound/vascular procedures following defined protocols.
- Observant of patients’ conditions.
- Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences.
- Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
- Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required.
- Understands and operates electronic information systems, PACS, PacsCube, Powerscribe etc.
- Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment.
- Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography.
- Participates in departmental QA/Accreditation process.
- Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Various other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound, or training in Ultrasound in a hospital program.
- One year of experience as Vascular and/or Ultrasound Technologist.
- Bachelor of Science in related field.
- ARRT or RDMS Registered Required -must be obtained within one (1) year of hire or start in position
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
