Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.
- Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies.
- Interpret fetal monitoring strips and respond appropriately to changes.
- Collaborate with OB physicians, anesthesia, NICU, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License
- BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery setting
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Labor & Delivery/Perinatal experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program Certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
Pay: $2,448.00 - $2,484.00 per week
