Description:
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate individual to serve as a Part-Time, On-Call Funeral Home Associate. This role supports licensed funeral directors with evening and after-hours removals, durning the day for funeral services, visitations, and general funeral home operations across several funeral homes in Schuylkill County.
This is an excellent opportunity for retired individuals or those with a flexible schedule looking for meaningful, supplemental work.
Responsibilities Include:
- Evening and after-hours on-call removals from hospitals, nursing facilities, and private homes
- Assisting with funeral and memorial services and visitations
- Setting up and breaking down services (on-site and off-site)
- Crematory transfers and general assistance to funeral directors
- Operating funeral home vehicles professionally and respectfully
Requirements:
- Evening on-call availability is required
- Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs. with assistance
- Clean, professional appearance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel between multiple locations in Schuylkill County
- Funeral service experience helpful but not required (training provided)
Schedule:
- On-call evenings
- Additional daytime opportunities for services and visitations as needed
