Summary:
The Orlando Sentinel is seeking an Advertising Sales Manager to join our team! Sales Managers are an integral part of the Advertising division responsible for partnering with Director and senior management to lead sales and revenue generating efforts.
This is a work from home opportunity, however you will need to reside locally to the Orlando area for sales calls and networking events.
What you will do:
- In coordination with Directors and senior management, Sales Managers design and execute a sales plan and have accountability to ensure their sales team achieves successful results
- Establishes individual sales performance goals, forecasts team revenue, attains advertising revenue goals and manages monthly expense budgets
- Manages and coaches experienced team of sales executives in the field and on calls with potential clients
- Continually evaluates advertising solutions and team structures to improve day to day business
- Identifies process inefficiencies and makes ongoing recommendations for streamlining systems and improving operations workflow
- Evaluate, liaise and support multiple key external partners and internal stakeholders for incremental local and national revenue opportunities
- Responds to ad-hoc analytics requests for internal tracking and performance reporting purposes

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience managing people and leading a successful sales team
- Experience in consultative sales, cold calling, diagnosing client needs, presentations, objections, closing, time management, client retention and problem-solving
- A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation is required
