NewsNation seeks a Senior Line Producer to join the show team for its flagship daily political program, The Hill. The senior line producer plays a lead role in managing creation of the show's rundown and facilitates the production process from the daily pitch meeting to the execution of the live show in the control room collaborating with editorial and production staff throughout the day. The position is based at the network's offices in New York. Duties & Responsibilities: Assists anchor and executive producer in setting show's editorial direction Helps build rundowns for regular programming as well as breaking news and special programming Coordinates the team: segment producers, associate producers, editors and other staff Copy edits scripts and content Serves as a senior leader in the control room Helps implement training and best practices for team Provides ongoing mentoring and support to staff Manage editorial relationships and collaboration with other teams Performs special projects and other duties as assigned Requirements & Skills: Experience producing for a national news program or producing newscasts in a top 10 market Experience covering politics and government Strong news judgement Quick decision maker and creative thinker Effective coach and mentor to staff of all experience levels Collaborative team player who advocates for their show but find ways to elevate network reporting Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Ability to adapt to change, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Proficiency with ENPS Flexibility to work different shifts Salary Range: (per experience): $115,000 – 135,000 Benefits: Our comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees includes, but not limited to, medical (with multiple plan options), dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) with company matching contributions, Paid Parental leave, life insurance and more.
