A high-growth, specialist recruitment firm is looking to hire a Managing Director to lead and scale its US business. You will lead a team of established headhunters focussed on placing senior talent into PE backed portfolio businesses on a retained and contingent basis.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an already successful platform and build it into a market-leading operation within the US private equity and accounting & finance recruitment space.
The business launched in Tampa in 2024 and has already achieved close to $2m in revenue in its first year, with the founding team now grown to 6. The next phase is focused on scaling headcount, deepening client relationships, and building out leadership.
The Role
- Lead and scale the US business (targeting 12 heads in 12–18 months)
- Full P&L ownership and revenue growth
- Operate as a true player-coach, leading from the front on business development
- Personally win and own high-value, client-facing mandates
- Build deep relationships with private equity funds and portfolio companies
- Hire, develop, and lead a team of high-performing 360 recruiters
- Implement structure across BD, client strategy, and delivery
- Act as the face of the business in the US market
The Profile
- Proven recruitment leader within A&F, PE, or a related vertical
- Strong rainmaker with a consistent history of winning new business
- Highly client-facing, credible with senior stakeholders (CFOs, investors, leadership teams)
- Track record of training and devloping individuals
- 360 recruiter mindset — equally comfortable selling and delivering
- Commercially driven, with the ambition to build a significant business

Basic salary of $120,000 - $130,000 commission team overide path to equity partner
