Who You Are:
Tribble Electric is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join our Commercial Construction Department. In this role, you will help the Project Manager oversee the day-to-day operations, coordinate workers, materials, and equipment. This role ensures that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and construction documents.
- Support the change order process, including documentation, tracking, and communication with stakeholders.
- Manage and communicate revisions to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Help manage field manpower, including scheduling and productivity tracking.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure deadlines are met.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Follow instructions from senior project managers and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
What You’ll Bring:
- Qualified Journeyman Electrician with 3 years of commercial electrical construction experience.
- Strong ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents.
- Familiarity with change order processes and project revisions.
- Experience with vendor and subcontractor coordination.
- Journeyman Electrician card is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Procore, BuildOps, or similar) a plus
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Driving Requirements
- Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Must have positive points on state driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
- Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
- All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
- Physical Requirements
- Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
