Job Overview: Performs a variety of bookkeeping and administrative functions to support the day-to- day maintenance of accurate financial records and transactions for the Convenience Stores. Collaborates closely with the Finance Department to ensure compliance with established procedures, timely processing of financial data, and overall accuracy in reporting.
Schedule Available: 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday. Hour start/end times can be flexible with advance notice.
Create Your Path: The Work You’ll Do:
- Maintains financial records by recording all financial transactions, including income, expenses, sales and purchases into the accounting system or ledgers to ensure accurate and up to date records.
- Tracks and manages payments, ensuring timely invoicing, collections and payments.
- Reconciles bank statements with internal records to identify discrepancies, prevent errors and ensures all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Audits daily paperwork and works with the team to resolve discrepancies.
- Creates purchase orders and approves invoices through NetSuite.
- Reviews monthly financial statements to ensure all expenses are recorded properly.
- Assists the back-office team to ensure that all system upgrades go smoothly. Learn about the software, help maintain and implement new changes where needed in daily procedures.
Job Requirements:
- 1 years of any combination of post-secondary education and/or experience in accounting, bookkeeping or business (required)
- Experience with NetSuite accounting software (preferred)
- Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Exceptional communications skills; ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences
