Location: Triangle Hardware and Rental, Greenwood, SC

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Pay: $12-15 per hour, based on experience

Are you a hands-on, dependable person who enjoys helping people solve problems? We’re looking for a friendly and motivated Hardware and Rental Associate to join our team!

Our local hardware and rental store takes pride in providing excellent customer service, quality products, and reliable equipment rentals to our community. In this role, you’ll help customers find the right products, assist with equipment rentals and returns, and keep our store organized, stocked, clean, safe, and ready for business.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.

Help customers locate hardware, tools, supplies, and other products.

Assist with equipment rental reservations, agreements, checkouts, and returns.

Explain equipment operation, basic safety procedures, and rental requirements as appropriate for your training.

Inspect rental equipment upon return, document damage or maintenance needs, and help keep equipment clean and rental-ready.

Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain a clean, orderly sales floor.

Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and rental equipment when needed.

Process sales and rental transactions accurately.

Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, tools, and rental solutions.

Follow store procedures and safety guidelines.

Work with team members to support daily store operations.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.

Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced retail environment.

Ability to lift 80lbs and move merchandise and equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in tools or equipment are a plus.

Retail, hardware, construction, landscaping, or equipment rental experience is preferred but not required.

Basic computer and point-of-sale skills are helpful.

Valid driver's license may be required if driving or moving equipment on public roads is part of the position.
