Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role based in Raleigh, NC. The Medical Assistant will support providers with patient intake, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical history, and preparing patients for ENT procedures and diagnostic testing. Daily responsibilities include documenting encounters in the electronic medical record, managing medical records, assisting with in-office procedures, and ensuring exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use. The role also involves coordinating patient flow, supporting front-office operations as needed, providing patient education on treatment plans and follow-up care, and maintaining a high standard of safety and infection control. The Medical Assistant will collaborate closely with clinicians and staff to deliver efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Strong Medical Assisting skills, including patient intake, vital signs, clinical support, and assisting with in-office procedures.
- Proficiency with Medical Terminology, especially related to ENT, sinus, allergy, and sleep medicine.
- Experience working in a Medical Office setting, including scheduling support, patient flow coordination, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.
- Demonstrated Patient Care skills, with a focus on empathy, clear communication, and patient education.
- Ability to manage and maintain accurate Medical Records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred; BLS/CPR certification required or obtained shortly after hire.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move between exam rooms, and perform clinical tasks safely.
- Prior ENT experienced encouraged.
