What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Triangle Rubber Co?
Qualifications
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and be able to push/pull up to 1000 lbs. on pallet jacks.
Must be able to use tools such as scissors, wire cutters, tape dispensers, etc.
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Must be able to follow setup instructions (in English).
Must be able to climb ladders.
Must be able to work overtime on weekdays or work weekends when needed.
Must be able to read and interpret gages and calipers.
Must be able to calculate percentages.
Must be able to follow a written schedule of numbers and dates.
Must be able to speak English fluently.
Must maintain good attendance.
Duties and Responsibilities (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
1. Perform first piece inspection on start up per the instruction in operations manuals.
2. Perform inspection on operations and products per Triangle’s quality procedures including two quality checks per shift. Communication of any potential issues to the shift supervisor / shift lead.
3. Understanding of quality defects and root causes. Provide feedback to the shift supervisor / shift lead, and process techs.
4. Train new Production Cell Operators and provide training elements to HR.
5. Train existing Production cell operators on new jobs, and provide training elements to HR.
6. Participate in plant housekeeping activities
7. Follow all Quality System procedures as well as operations manuals.
8. Responsible to ensure the operator understands and follows the instructions in operations manual.
9. Record all material tracking information per Triangle’s quality procedures.
10. Serve as a back up to team lead for providing break relief if needed.
11. Any other activities or duties assigned by the Quality Coordinator / Quality Manager
Salary : $18 - $19
