Role Description The Oral Surgery Dental Assistant is a full-time, on-site role located in Cary, NC, supporting oral surgeons and clinical staff in delivering safe and efficient patient care. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, organizing instruments and materials, and assisting chairside during oral surgery and implant procedures. The role involves maintaining strict infection control standards, overseeing sterilization processes, and ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and ready for use. The assistant will help with patient intake and discharge, including reviewing medical histories, providing pre- and post-operative instructions, and supporting patient comfort throughout visits. Additional tasks may include taking radiographs as permitted, updating patient records, managing appointment flow, and collaborating with the team to ensure a smooth and professional clinical experience.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Dental Assisting, including chairside support and clinical workflow coordination.
- Knowledge of Dental Care, Dentistry, and Oral Care principles, with a focus on oral surgery and implant procedures.
- Ability to perform and monitor Sterilization processes and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Professional communication skills and a patient-centered approach, with the ability to support individuals before and after surgery.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Radiology certification as required by North Carolina regulations is preferred.
- Previous experience in oral surgery, implant dentistry, or a specialty dental practice is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Current CPR/BLS certification and commitment to ongoing professional development.
