Mortgage Loan Originator
Location: Columbus – Hwy 45 Branch

Reports To: Lending Manager
Position Summary
Triangle Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced and service-driven Mortgage Loan Originator to join our growing lending team. This role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, developing strong member relationships, and guiding borrowers through the mortgage process from application to closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate first mortgage and home equity loan products in accordance with credit union policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Interview members to assess financial needs and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and review financial documentation to determine creditworthiness.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including TRID, RESPA, TILA, and Fair Lending requirements.
- Manage the loan pipeline to ensure timely processing, underwriting, and closing.
- Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and closing staff to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and community partners.
- Provide exceptional member service throughout the mortgage lifecycle.
- Stay informed of industry trends, rate changes, and secondary market guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS license in good standing (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and underwriting guidelines.
- Proven ability to generate business and meet production goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment to member confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with Calyx Point loan origination software.
- Experience working within a credit union environment.
- Established referral network within the local market.
