A Software Engineer is tasked with planning, supporting, maintaining, and developing custom software applications. This position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, and mid-level knowledge of, and experience with, existing and new technologies and applications in the market. This position will also require user support as needed.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with internal departments and customers to assist in defining requirements
• Assess software design and project parameters within time constraints
• Participate in code design discussions based on user specifications
• Modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance
• Perform software testing and validation procedures and programming to ensure quality
• Use existing CI/CD pipelines to deploy software
• Troubleshoot issues using monitoring tools
• Make sound judgments related to the stakeholders’ needs and impact on timelines and technical debt
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and manages the backlog of work items

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent combination. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field is strongly preferred. Microsoft certifications a plus
• Must have 5 plus years of professional full stack development experience

Technical Skills:

• 5 years of C# or Java experience
• 5 years of SQL experience, including data modeling and query writing
• 3 years working in a commercial cloud environment, Azure preferred
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Blazor a plus
• Experience working with business stakeholders to refine requirements
• Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira
• Experience with a component-based, object-oriented, multi-tiered architecture.
• Experience developing and supporting web-based, mission critical web applications
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers on best practices through code reviews

Work Environment/Physical Demands: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
