High School Math Teacher (Multiple Openings) - Develop and prepare curricula/lessons on the subject of
math; Teach math courses to high school students through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and labs;
Teach courses in accordance state with standards and with the philosophy, values and mission of the school;
Apply sound principles of learning theory in developing instructional models; Initiate the use of new
teaching methods and materials; Help students to see the importance of science in their everyday lives;
Develop a clear set of classroom rules and procedures, and make certain students understand and follow
them; Provide a fair system of grading and make sure that students understand how their grades are
determined; Encourage student questions and strive to answer them; Maintain and promote high standards
and expectations for all students; Help students to learn problem-solving skills; Establish a professional
rapport with students; Applaud the efforts of students and enjoy their individual growth; Display the highest
ethical and professional behavior and standards; Serve as a role model for students; Participate in disaster
preparedness and safety programs and supervise safety and welfare of students; Provide safe and clean
learning and working environments; Develop quizzes/tests to assess students' knowledge; Document
educational results and actions by maintaining student reports, logs and records and maintain accurate
attendance records and submit reports in a timely manner; Tutor students who need extra help to master the
subject matter; Work with school counselor and special education coordinator to ensure proper
accommodations are met for individual students, participate in process of recommending students for support
programs, and participate in special education/504 meetings; Meet with students as required to discuss
individual student's progress and answer student's questions; Communicate regularly with parents;
Implement school policies & administrative regulations pertaining to student discipline, etc. Bachelor's
