Primary Role:
The Data and Analytics Coordinator supports TMSA Public Charter Schools by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of district data systems. This role is responsible for managing data collection, validation, reporting, and visualization processes across the network.
The Coordinator works collaboratively with Academic, Operations, and IT departments to provide timely, actionable insights that support instructional decision-making, operational efficiency, and compliance with state and federal requirements. The position plays a critical role in advancing TMSA’s commitment to data-driven continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Education, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with School Information Systems (SIS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS), as well as educational data systems, reporting tools, or analytics platforms, is preferred.
- Familiarity with state and federal reporting requirements (e.g., Infinite Campus, state assessments, accountability metrics).
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, data visualization tools, and analytical software (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Excel, SQL preferred).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in clear, user-friendly ways.
- Experience working in K–12 education or charter schools is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
DATA SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT & INTEGRITY
- Manage district data systems, including student information systems, assessment platforms, and performance dashboards.
- Maintain data accuracy by performing regular audits, validation checks, and troubleshooting issues with data uploads and integrations.
- Support campuses in maintaining accurate enrollment, attendance, discipline, and academic records in compliance with district and state expectations.
- Develop processes that strengthen internal data integrity and ensure consistent data usage across departments.
REPORTING & COMPLIANCE
- Prepare required state, federal, and internal reports, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and full compliance with all regulations.
- Support the Senior IT Manager and Academic leadership in maintaining reporting calendars, deadlines, and documentation.
- Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports for school leaders, district leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Assist with annual submissions, accreditation documentation, accountability updates, and assessment reporting.
DATA ANALYSIS & VISUALIZATION
- Analyze student performance, attendance, discipline, and operational data to identify trends and insights aligned with district priorities.
- Design dashboards, visualizations, and data tools that increase accessibility and clarity of complex datasets.
- Provide data summaries for presentations, board reports, and strategic planning sessions.
- Transform raw data into actionable insights that support continuous school improvement and informed decision-making.
TRAINING & USER SUPPORT
- Train school and district staff on the effective use of data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Provide technical assistance for data entry, reporting processes, and troubleshooting platform issues.
- Develop and maintain user guides, tutorials, and reference materials to support data literacy across the organization.
COLLABORATION & CROSS-DEPARTMENTAL SUPPORT
- Collaborate closely with Academic, Operations, IT, and Accountability departments to align data processes and support district initiatives.
- Assist with the integration of new software, tools, and platforms by ensuring data compatibility and quality.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to support district data strategy and technology initiatives led by the Senior IT Manager.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Stay current on emerging best practices in educational data management, analytics, and compliance.
- Recommend improvements to district data workflows, structures, and reporting systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior IT Manager.
