Triad Logistics Services is hiring an Assistant Airfield Manager for a contract at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS.
This position performs or oversees the tasks listed in an office environment. The AAFM shall ensure the minimum daily inspections and checks of the airfield are conducted as required. Timely and effective coordination, as a minimum, with airfield support agencies such as civil engineering, safety, maintenance, transportation, command and control, air traffic control and emergency response agencies, is required in order to support aircraft operations and correct deficiencies on the airfield. The AAFM shall provide input, guidance and solutions at meetings concerning airfield facilities, air operations, and airfield construction projects.
The AAFM will advise the required activity on airfield conditions and deficiencies which impact, or potentially impact, flying operations at the base. The AAFM will coordinate directly with civil engineering, safety and other airfield support agencies for airfield infrastructure and facility requirements to support aircraft operations. The AAFM shall participate with other base agencies to ensure an accurate airfield waiver program is maintained. The AAFM shall maintain copies of MAJCOM approved airfield waiver packages. The AAFM will review, coordinate, and maintain aircraft parking plans for compliance with planning and design criteria. The AAFM will also review airfield restriction data as required.
Other requirements are to perform Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH)/Wildlife responses, RSC determinations, NOTAM determinations, review of events logs, serving on boards and other airfield-related forums and briefings as required.
Requirements:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Completion of Military Airfield Manager course or civilian equivalence.
Experience: The AAFM should have five (5) years' experience in airfield management, two (2) of the five (5) years as the AAFM supervising military, civilians, or contractors in the flight service section.
