Our well-established client is seeking a Buyer/Planner with at least 10 years of experience to lead the purchasing, scheduling, and planning processes of the assigned production lines. They will be responsible for making sure customer delivery requirements are met and operational efficiency is maximized, as well as leading MRP planning and purchasing activities in accordance with company policies on inventory control and customer service levels. The selected candidate will serve as the primary liaison between the commercial, purchasing, and operations teams, ensuring full adherence to the established schedule. This role will have direct responsibility to improve the company’s financial and delivery performance through scheduling efficiency, inventory (ROI) improvement, and inventory accuracy. To be successful in this role, the Buyer/Planner should have supplier management experience working within an ISO 13485 environment, as well as experience purchasing materials to support direct made-to-order customer PO’s, stocking programs, and min/max. Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
- Consult with receiving and accounting as needed to resolve issues with PO receipt/invoice discrepancies, including quantities and pricing.
- Lead monthly customer SOP meetings based on plant capacity and demand planning.
- Track monthly forecasting variance by selected customers to drive improvements in planning processes and ensure proper allocation in MRP planning.
- Manage the Supply Chain schedule for new product launch and phase out control for selected customer/product groups.
- Consult with production and customer service regularly to drive improvements in production planning process.
- Create and maintain a scheduling system in ERP on a regular basis.
- Communicate regularly with customer service and supervisors regarding new jobs that may require realigning the schedule to meet customer needs.
- Lead value stream mapping efforts for defined production areas to identify inventory/process stagnation, standard store targets, and overall lead time improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 10 years of purchasing and planning experience, preferably in medical device or regulated manufacturing
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and procurement best practices.
Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
