Job Summary:
Triad Control Systems is seeking team-oriented professionals with hands-on experience in Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and Process Logic Control Systems (PLC), with a focus on configuration, graphics, system architecture, and logic programming for plant control systems. Responsibilities:
The Automation Specialist performs a wide range of duties, including the following:
- Responsible for design, specification, selection, and services relating to control systems, including basic process control systems, safety systems, communications, etc.
- The candidate will plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a typical automation project
- Responsible to assist with control philosophy and/or functional descriptions
- Communicate project status and progress to the project manager for inclusion in client reports
- Responsible for the quality of the control system portion of the project
- Field commissioning and troubleshooting of the entire system
- May be required to respond to client requests, both remote and onsite, for troubleshooting of control systems and field instrumentation
- Seek out opportunities for additional work from existing and new clients
- Maintain a focus on safety by adhering to all Triad Control Systems, client, and industry safety standards
Qualifications:
The Automation Specialist requirements include, but are not limited to, the following
- 5 years of control system engineering experience related to Allen-Bradley PLCs, Allen-Bradley PanelView, and Wonderware are required
- Hands-on configuration experience using Emerson DeltaV
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with field instrumentation
- Configuration experience with other PLC, HMI, DCS, or SIS systems is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in technical execution on both FEL/FEED and EPC projects in the chemical and petrochemical industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft software products is required
