Position Summary

Triad Architects is seeking an Interior Designer with at least three years of professional experience to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a creative, technically minded designer who enjoys collaborating with architects and clients to shape interior environments from concept through construction.


This role extends well beyond furniture and finish selections. The successful candidate will contribute to interior architecture, space planning, construction documentation, and construction administration while helping create environments that are functional, inspiring, and built to last.


NCIDQ Certification is not required, but we encourage candidates who are pursuing certification.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and project teams throughout all phases of project delivery.
  • Develop creative interior design concepts that support project goals and client needs.
  • Prepare space plans, finish plans, interior elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and construction documentation.
  • Maintain an updated materials library.
  • Specify FF&E selections that enhance the overall design.
  • Produce renderings, graphics, and presentation materials.
  • Participate in client meetings, programming sessions, and design presentations.
  • Coordinate with consultants and manufacturers throughout the design process.
  • Conduct construction administration duties, including:
  • Site visits and construction observations
  • Responding to Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Reviewing submittals and shop drawings
  • Assisting with punch list reviews and project closeout activities
  • Support project teams with research, code review, and material studies.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and creative studio environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • Three or more years of professional interior design experience preferred.
  • Experience developing construction documents for interior architecture projects.
  • NCIDQ Certification is not required.
  • Proficiency in BIM / Revit is required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is required.
  • Proficiency in Enscape is preferred.
  • Knowledge of building code and Life Safety requirements as applicable.
  • Strong graphic, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for creating thoughtful, functional, and inspiring interior environments.
