The Education Coordinator at TRIA Orthopedic Center is responsible for planning, promoting, and delivering an excellent orthopedic educational experience for fellows, residents, healthcare professional students, area high schools, and other interested groups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage educational experiences for orthopedic fellows, residents, healthcare professional students, and other learners.
- Supervise and coordinate learner schedules across multiple TRIA locations, ensuring alignment with preceptor availability and clinical needs.
- Facilitate timely and accurate communication between preceptors, learners, and department leadership.
- Utilize multiple software programs, including internal and external scheduling tools, evaluation systems, electronic learner databases, and electronic medical records systems.
- Partner with clinic leadership to create, manage, and maintain department, preceptor, and learner schedules.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accreditation standards.
- Support program development initiatives, including educational event planning and promotional efforts.
- Assist in the orientation, onboarding, and tracking of learners and preceptors.
- Provide data management and reporting for program evaluations and accreditation maintenance.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment for all program participants.
- Able to work some evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus one or more years of experience in meeting planning or delivery of accredited or health related programs.
- Experience in graduate medical education, residency coordination, or academic program administration preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to compose, edit, and present materials effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with scheduling, evaluation, and database management software.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of learners, preceptors, and staff.
- Familiarity with accreditation body processes and maintenance is helpful.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Standard office and clinical environment with potential need for occasional travel between TRIA locations.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and engage in occasional light lifting or movement of materials.
