About the Role
The Manager of Health and Wellness Programs will play a pivotal role in overseeing our team of health coaches while providing direct patient care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and wellness, strong leadership skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision:
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of health coaches, dieticians, and other wellness employees.
Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure the delivery of high-quality coaching and patient care.
Develop and implement coaching protocols and best practices to optimize patient outcomes.
Oversee onboarding and training for new health coach, dieticians, and other departmental hires.
Patient Care:
Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with patients to assess their health goals, provide personalized guidance, and develop actionable plans for improvement.
Utilize evidence-based practices and behavioral change techniques to support patients in adopting healthy habits and lifestyle modifications.
Monitor patient progress, track key health metrics, and adjust coaching strategies as needed to ensure success using SMART goals.
Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for patients, providing ongoing support and encouragement throughout their wellness journey.
Program Development:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative health and wellness programs.
Oversee internal and external wellness programming including Choose to Lose, PA Health Coach consultations, and Tria wellness programs.
Stay informed about industry trends, research findings, and emerging technologies to inform program development and enhancement.
Ensure processes allow for efficiency, productivity, and documentation standards are met.
Assist in the development of patient resources within Tria platforms including website, patient portal, and Tria Health app.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support for patients.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders to promote engagement and adherence to treatment plans.
Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and community events to promote our services and build relationships with potential partners.

Qualifications
Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and clinical literature.
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Effective communication skills are required to succeed in this position.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists is desired.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Access, Excel, Database software, E-mail, and Internet.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Nutrition, Exercise Science, Public Health, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Recent or current health coach certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in health coaching, with demonstrated proficiency in behavior change techniques and motivational interviewing.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computer, phones, printers, filing cabinets and copiers are utilized. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
Location: Tria Health is in Kansas City, MO (Crossroads). This is not a remote job position, but a hybrid schedule can be utilized after training.
Hours: 40 hour workweek, Monday – Friday with 2 or more evenings shifts (12-9).
