Maintenance Technician 2nd shift

Position: Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Director of Operations

Wage: $26.00 to $31.00 based on experience

Shift : Monday- Friday 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Summary:

Responsible for the efficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair of machines, equipment and molds for a rotational molding facility.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of types of preventative and routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, welding, plumbing, or carpentry work.
• Coordinates and performs the maintenance and repair of the building and grounds as needed.
• Ensures that all mechanical equipment is functioning satisfactorily and safely.
• Makes recommendations for equipment rebuilds and equipment upgrades.
• Communicates with external vendors to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and repair.
• Schedules necessary warranty work with vendors.
• Repairs tooling when needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Utilize Preventative Maintenance and Work Order software.
• Collaborates with purchasing to order parts and other necessary items.
• Effectively collaborates with production leaders to communicates status of repairs.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the facility, the work areas and/or the team.
• All other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• Forklift and scissor lift certifiable
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stop, knees, crouch, crawl

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour

Experience:

• Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Preferred)
• Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
