SUMMARY
Tri Tex Cabinets is seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager to build out and run our ordering and inventory operation on the company's existing QuickBooks platform. This role owns purchasing, receiving, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization, working closely with the CAD Manager, General Manager, and Department Leads to keep product flowing to the shop on schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Set up a new order and inventory system using the company's current QuickBooks platform.
- Work with the CAD Manager to place orders and ensure product is available for cabinet construction as scheduled.
- Maintain product and vendor records in the inventory system.
- Receive daily shipments and accurately match orders against packing slips.
- Examine and reject damaged items, and process returns or credits.
- Stage all inventory items per job while coordinating with the shop construction schedule.
- Maintain accurate inventory by keeping inventory records current.
- Coordinate and collaborate with vendors to resolve product issues.
- Take physical inventory with support from the General Manager and Department Leads.
- Provide general administrative support to shop-floor personnel and the General Manager.
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean in an efficient, effective manner.
- Communicate with the General Manager and Department Leads about current stock and potential order issues.
- Perform other related or assigned duties as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years in purchasing, inventory control, or warehouse management
- Experience with QuickBooks or comparable inventory/accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in manufacturing, cabinetry, millwork, or construction supply.
- Vendor management experience.
