Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts for heavy-duty trucks while providing excellent service at the counter and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in and phone customers with parts inquiries and orders
- Accurately identify parts using manufacturer catalogs and systems
- Process sales transactions, invoices, and returns
- Maintain organized inventory and stock levels
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure timely parts availability
- Promote current parts specials and upsell when appropriate
- Ensure a clean, professional, and customer-friendly parts counter area
Qualifications:
- 3 year previous experience in heavy-duty truck parts, automotive parts, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of Mack and Volvo truck parts is a strong plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with parts management systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
