What are the responsibilities and job description for the Panel Control Technician position at Tri-State Pump & Control?
We’re looking for a Panel Control Technician who takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and building reliable systems. In this role, you’ll assemble and troubleshoot control panels that keep our pumping systems running smoothly and safely. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assemble and wire electrical components according to schematics and technical specifications
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of control panels to ensure performance and compliance with safety standards
- Assist with installation and commissioning of control panels at pump station sites
- Monitor inventory of materials and components, ordering supplies as needed to keep production on schedule
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance panel design and manufacturing processes
What We’re Looking For:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in controls
- Strong technical knowledge in key areas related to panel assembly and troubleshooting
- UL Certification or willingness to obtain it
- Familiarity with manufacturing software, project management tools, and quality assurance practices
- Dependable, detail-focused, and safety-conscious
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a variety of environments: office, manufacturing floor, and pump station sites
- Capacity for long hours during peak project periods or installations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed for inspections or site work
- Adequate vision and hearing to assess equipment, conduct inspections, and communicate effectively
- Willingness to work in different weather conditions and occasionally in confined spaces
