Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker

Job Summary

Duties

• Safely operate a pick-up truck with a utility trailer to deliver goods to customers across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of all items.
• Verify delivery orders, check for accuracy, and obtain customer signatures upon receipt.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, confirming delivery details, and ensuring satisfaction during each interaction.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records.
• Assist in warehouse organization by moving inventory, restocking shelves, and preparing shipments for dispatch.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and improve overall efficiency of operations.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on customer service.
• Previous warehouse experience including loading/unloading, moving heavy items, and inventory management.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred.
• Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation tools to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly and perform physical tasks involving manual lifting and moving.
• Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
